We were threatened by a social worker that she could and would take our biological children if we did not succumb to her ridiculous demands to interrogate our toddlers alone! After we had already overheard this worker asking leading and outright inappropriate questions of our foster children who were 4 and 6. This attorney played up and on our fears. Nothing she predicted happened. She took our money and then showed so late the day of that she missed the entire hearing and then had the nerve to get ticked for not getting paid for her time! We lost our foster children to the system because of gross accusations by the social worker but the judge realized that we were not the "BAD" people the worker was making us out to be and our family was left alone. No thanks to our well paid no show of an attorney. I am just grateful my husband did not pay her the full amount up front. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy! |  |

* | 9/10/07 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | I paid this attorney $7,500.00. 1) She never called me or made any effort to advise me of the status of my case. 2) She charged me $1,700 just to be listed as my attorney of record. 3) That cost for the substitution included travel time and a court appearance however she had actually faxed the paperwork 4) When she did appear in the courthouse she was so rude and disleveled to the court staff and judge they didn't even think she was a REAL attorney. 5) I heard similar from other clients. 6) Once I fired her I should of gotten nearly $2,000 refund but she refused and instead sent me a bogus bill that totalled exactly the same amount as the refund due. I HAVE ONLY HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT HER SINCE - STAY AWAY. | |

I documented that the Court of Appeals judges found her representative of an innocent man so bad they though she should be disciplined. That evaluation was removed. Another evaluation on this site was also removed. It said that July 2006 her husband cruised I-75 stopping at rest areas putting up advertising with her picture on it. That evaluation was also removed. Most recently she and her husband have taken to selling 'antiques' at flea markets to get money. Does that sound like an attorney you want representing you? She is hopelessly in debt. She is such a bad attorney the Michigan Bar last year disciplined her for abandoning her clients. BEWARE, BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE | |

When children are being ripped from families because of poverty, billing the parents at $200 an hour only guarantees the children will never be returned. The ethics of this attorney needs to be questioned. I suggest everyone file grievances with the Michigan Bar Association and have her disbarred. CPS takes the children and this attorney takes whatever dignity and last dollar from your bank account. She is just one example of why Michigan's child welfare laws need to be reformed. As soon as anyone does do a rating about her which reflects the true Janet Frederick-Wilson for the con artist that she is, her husband or herself does a post which claims that she is a goddess of some sort. That is just not the case. Janet is corruption at it's finest. I know this and can prove it. There are many other people out there that will tell you the same. She is a crook. She does not know her stuff. She will sell you out and leave you hanging as soon as she gets your money. She has very poor if any communication skills with her clients after she receives her retainer. She will hang you in the court room by filing bogusly on your behalve. Then she will excuse herself claiming that you are impossible to work with. And if you try to fire her first, she will try everything in her power to screw you and still get her fee. Plain and simple "SHE SUCKS" | |
